AUDITION NOTICE AND INFORMATION FOR MAN OF LA MANCHA

Continuing the success of Ragtime and Carousel, Arizona Musicfest has created a new creative arm to their 35-year history of presenting concerts in the Valley with self-produced theatrical concert experiences. Introducing Musicfest Theatricals. The artistic team is seeking a dedicated and diverse cast of multitalented performers for our theatrical concert production of Man of La Mancha. Featuring a 17-piece orchestra onstage, this production will include staging, costumes, and essential scenic elements. While Arizona Musicfest is not offering Actors’ Equity Association contracts for this engagement, the concert format permits participation by both Equity and non-union performers. Arizona Musicfest brings in guest Broadway notables to play the principal roles, but all supporting, ensemble, and principal understudy roles will be cast locally. Rehearsals will take place from September 14 – October 17, 2026 with final rehearsals at the Herberger Theater Center the week of October 19. Performances will be October 23 – 25.

Musicfest is accepting audition materials through Sunday, July 19, 2026

General Information:

– All supporting and ensemble roles are paid – $1200 minimum
– Principal understudy roles would get an additional stipend
– All initial auditions will be done via video submission
– Auditioners must be 16 and older
