There is no shortage of examples of great music in film, whether previously-composed works reimagined to fit a story, or newly-composed themes and textures specifically written to enhance it. Join Musicfest Manager of Education, Youth Performance, and Community Programming Ben Baer in exploring the characteristics of iconic film music. Together, we’ll identify what’s at work in the pieces, compare these two approaches to adding music to film, and deepen our appreciation for film music!
