One of the most beloved American musicals of all time, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Carousel celebrates its 80th anniversary in 2025. Featuring unforgettable songs including “If I Loved You” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” this timeless Broadway classic has been praised for its poignant storyline, memorable characters, and unforgettable score. Rarely heard in its original full-scale orchestration, Musicfest’s concert performances showcase the music above all else. Featuring the 45-piece Musicfest Pops Ensemble (Josh Condon, Conductor) and a starry line-up of world class soloists, the work’s sweeping symphonic splendor will fill the Herberger Theater Center in downtown Phoenix. Musicfest’s concert production features acclaimed Broadway artists Erica Spyres and James Snyder in the principal roles.

These concert performances are produced by Arizona Musicfest, in collaboration with the Herberger Theater Center.

Set in a seaside town in Maine, Carousel follows the love story of Billy Bigelow, a handsome but troubled carousel barker, and Julie Jordan, a young mill worker. It is the enduring tale of love, redemption, and the struggle to find our place in the world.

*Note that this is not a fully staged production but a concert performance with limited theatrical elements.

**Note that tickets for this special engagement are being sold directly through the Herberger Theater Center and not Arizona Musicfest. Please contact the Herberger box office for any ticket questions, seating issues or other needs concerning your purchase at 602-252-8497.
