Part 2: Sounds of Psychedelia

After our time in San Francisco, we shift our focus to “Swinging London”, and how Psychedelia differed across the pond. We’re going to examine events like the Poets of the World (or Poets of Our Time, depending on your source), the 14 Hour Technicolor Dream, and the Love In events, along with important clubs and meetings like the London Free School, and the Spontaneous Underground. Artists that we’ll dive into include Cream, the legendary psychedelic band Pink Floyd (covering both the Syd Barrett and David Gilmour years), and arguably the most important guitar icon of the time: Jimi Hendrix.
