Throughout history, composers have told the stories of people—their lives and dreams, their journeys. Edward Elgar brilliantly depicted his friends in the Enigma Variations, which has at its heart the stirring movement, “Nimrod”. Peter Boyer’s Ellis Island: The Dream of America tells the dramatic stories of immigrants through first-person portrayals by actors, a gripping musical score, and powerful imagery. This work will feature actors from Phoenix Theatre Company.
