Something Wonderful: The Music of Rodgers & Hammerstein

Our Musical Theatre Matinee series features guest lectures from some of the Valley’s foremost experts in musical theatre, and include live performances by outstanding local singers and dancers!

The most uplifting and romantic musical theatre songs of all time have one thing in common: the unmatched writing team of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. Mark your calendars for this special event hosted by Trisha Ditsworth and accompanied by Joshua Condon. Singing through her favorites and bringing a fresh take on some of the classics Ditsworth will be joined by some very special guests for this memorable afternoon of music.

Tunes from South Pacific, Oklahoma, The Sound of Music, Carousel, Cinderella and the King and I will delight your ears. You may even be surprised by some of the lesser known work of the famous duo. The presentation will focus on themes of love and relationships through the power of the songs themselves. This will be an afternoon not to be missed.
