Mozart Symphony No. 35

In a celebratory nod to Musicfest’s 35^th anniversary, Maestro Robert Moody and the Festival Orchestra begin the 2026 Orchestra Week with Mozart’s 35^th Symphony!  Known as the “Haffner”, this symphony is a fiery and forceful work featuring an exciting range of styles, from refined elegance and thunderous pomp to a dazzling finale. This classic masterwork is paired with a modern masterpiece, Christopher Tin’s The Drop that Contained the Sea, a breathtaking, multi-layered and multilingual choral/orchestral work that explores the profound significance of water in human experience. Utilizing ancient poetry to contemporary reflections, the work creates an evocative, global narrative symbolizing both unity and the infinite cycle of life.
