For our first Musicfest at the Movies presentation of the season, we’ll screen the 1994 dramatisation of Beethoven’s biography!

This biography chronicles the life of Ludwig van Beethoven (Gary Oldman) and his painful struggle with hearing loss. Following Beethoven’s death in 1827, his assistant, Schindler (Jeroen Krabbé), searches for an elusive woman referred to in the composer’s love letters as “immortal beloved.” As Schindler solves the mystery, a series of flashbacks reveals Beethoven’s transformation from a passionate young man to a troubled musical genius.

While not required, we request attendees to RSVP to help us know the number of chairs to set up.

As of January 14, 2021, all Music Alive! attendees must show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 PCR test, taken within 72 hours, before entering the building. In addition, universal mask-wearing is required.

Please contact Ben Baer, Manager of Education, Youth Performance, and Community Programming at ben@azmusicfest.org with any questions.
