The Charles Lewis Quintet +1

Few names in the jazz community command more respect than Charles Lewis, the first jazz-category inductee into the Arizona Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame. Over the last 40 years, Lewis Nash has established himself as “the most valuable player in jazz” (Modern Drummer magazine).

The original Charles Lewis Quintet Plus One dates back to 1974, when the group not only performed in Valley clubs but also engaged elementary school kids in interactive performances in Phoenix, Tempe, and Mesa, as well as in towns and on Indian reservations throughout the state for the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
