To get ready for Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s Swinging Christmas show, we’ll relive the swing revival of the 90s! Influenced by swing bands like Glenn Miller’s & Lionel Hampton’s, the showmanship of Louis Prima and Louis Jordan, and with a little dose of Carl Perkins’ Rockabilly style, bands in the 1990s began mixing styles to bring back the styles and sounds of 40s and 50s dances.
