Joseph Haydn’s gift for ‘special effects’ in music summons visions of wild waters, the first dawn and the creation of living creatures, including a wittily flirtatious Adam and Eve. The sixty-member orchestra perfectly compliments the chorus of two hundred reveling in the glory of it all in the grandest Handelian manner.
