FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA: BEETHOVEN & DVORAK

Maestro Robert Moody leads the exceptional Festival Orchestra--comprised of players from the nation’s finest orchestras--in Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 featuring the award-winning American pianist Andrew von Oeyen.  About von Oeyen, the Chicago Tribune raves “he can do absolutely anything he likes with a keyboard.” Rossini’s ebullient Overture to The Barber of Seville begins the concert and Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9 “From the New World”—one of the most popular symphonic works of all time --serves as the second half’s masterwork.
